Job Description
- Drafts and prepares editorial content in English & Arabic for publishing and / or
other purposes, as per instructed by the Company.
- Covers Company's various events.
- Conducts interviews inside and outside Company's premises.
- Proofreads texts received from other editors, departments or translation offices.
- Assists in copywriting tasks.
- Monitors the Company appearance and mentions across traditional media platforms and prepares necessary analysis and related reports.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Skills
- Bachelor degree in English or Arabic literature, Journalism, Mass Media, or
equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as an editor in a well known newspaper or
magazine, out of which 5 years of experience as an editor in an English language
newspaper or magazine if his/her mother tongue is Arabic.
- Previous experience in the Oil Sector (Preferable).
- Proven ability to draft Arabic / English text without grammatical errors and with necessary fluency.
- Good knowledge of pre-printing jobs including experience in layout and graphic
designs.
- Common sense capability to proofread, evaluate texts and suggests modification for improvement.
- He/she should have published articles or press reports besides news coverage of economic events.
- Good communication skills.
- Dynamic, creative and initiative taker.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
