Senior Manufacturing Controller

To be a key player in the manufacturing leadership team. Contributes to all areas of manufacturing management and provides strong financial leadership within manufacturing. To be responsible for the Design and implementation of a planning and budgeting system covering the manufacturing unit, and for coordinating manufacturing budgets and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices. The incumbent will provide financial direction to the manufacturing management team and provide recommendations to improve site and company performance through relevant structured reporting. Initially, there will be a high focus on developing and implementing a CMS (Cost-Management-System) including but not limited to, Cost Mapping, Cost Allocation, System Integration, Cost Tracking, Reporting, structured management Feedback, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Providing proactive/unsolicited consultation, interpretation, and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental heads, used to drive quantitative business decisions.
• Collaborating with General Manager-Manufacturing and Senior Management to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations, and lead the development of complex analysis.
• Monitoring and implementing manufacturing internal processes and controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks.
• Establishing and maintaining a risk management system to track and report possible risks to the cost structure & cost profile of the manufacturing unit and the products.
• Ensuring proper accounting in accordance with corporate accounting policy, corporate principles, as well as local statutory requirements.
• Estimating product costs to support quoting activities.
• Managing all accounting operations in cooperation with corporate finance and accounting.
• Managing month-end closing and preparing monthly financial statements and other operational reports for the site.
• Analyzing variances and communicating explanations to management with recommended actions.
• Preparing forecasts of the income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for the Manufacturing. Working across organization boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve manufacturing, country or corporate objectives. Supporting the Development & Management of Manufacturing KPIs. Complying with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations and working practices of KDD and the State of Kuwait when carrying out duties.
