HVAC DUCTING SUPERVISOR

Overview: As an HVAC Ducting Supervisor, you will oversee the installation, fabrication, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) ductwork systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your role involves leading a team of ductwork technicians, fabricators, and installers to ensure the safe and efficient execution of HVAC ducting projects. You will coordinate with engineering teams, project managers, and clients to meet project deadlines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Key Responsibilities:



• Project Planning and Coordination:
• Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and clients to review project plans, specifications, and schedules for HVAC ducting installations, retrofits, or repairs.
• Develop work plans, construction schedules, and resource allocation strategies to ensure timely completion of HVAC ducting projects within budget and scope.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to procure materials, equipment, and supplies required for HVAC ducting installations and fabrication activities.
• Team Leadership and Supervision:
• Lead and supervise a team of HVAC ductwork technicians, fabricators, and installers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor work progress to optimize productivity, efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Conduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and job site inspections to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• HVAC Ducting Installation and Fabrication:
• Oversee the layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of HVAC ductwork systems, including supply ducts, return ducts, exhaust ducts, and ventilation ducts, according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform quality control inspections, air balancing tests, and leak checks to verify the integrity and performance of HVAC ducting systems.

• Quality Assurance and Control:
• Implement quality control measures, inspection procedures, and documentation protocols to verify the quality and integrity of HVAC ducting installations and connections.
• Conduct visual inspections, pressure tests, and airflow measurements to identify and resolve defects, leaks, or deficiencies in ductwork systems.
• Document inspection results, maintain records of ductwork installations, modifications, and repairs, and ensure compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
• Safety and Regulatory Compliance:
• Enforce safety policies, procedures, and practices to mitigate hazards, prevent accidents, and promote a safe working environment for personnel involved in HVAC ducting operations.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations, and implement corrective actions and preventive measures to prevent recurrence.
• Client Communication and Reporting:
• Serve as a point of contact for clients, contractors, and project stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, milestones, and any issues or concerns related to HVAC ducting activities.
• Prepare progress reports, work logs, and as-built drawings documenting HVAC ducting installations, modifications, and repairs, and communicate project status to project managers and clients as required.
