Job Description

  • Working on construction site, assists MEP Manager with implementing Mechanical and irrigation engineering practices and related standards.
  •  Provides mechanical engineering knowledge on pumps, HVAC, plumbing, and irrigation network and related accessories.
  • Preparing Drawings (Shop, Coordination, Composed and As-Built drawings), Technical Material Submittals, Pre-qualifications, and Method Statement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of entire Mechanical and irrigation Design, Technical, Procedures, Relevant Codes, and International Standards.
  •  
  • Reviews mechanical submittals including vendors, shop drawings and mechanical layout drawings, surge analysis reports and specifications for compliance with the Contract requirements and design intent.
  • Arrange regular meetings with the contractor to review progress on mechanical submittals and site issues.
  • Reviews design drawings and specifications at periodic check points as required by the milestones.
  • Writes detailed reports related to mechanical engineering of projects and confers with project and MEP manager as requested.
  • Reviews standards for materials and equipment to ensure they are in accordance with the specifications.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, other disciplines and inter-connection point.
  • Supports the needs of other discipline leads for input to their efforts.
  • Familiarity with detailed Testing & Commissioning Procedures.
  • Awareness of quality management systems in engineering design.
  • Provide mechanically related insight on construction issues.
  • Provides advice concerning design or scope changes identified for review.


Skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of irrigation system design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to analyze complex irrigation issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate system design, proper equipment selection, and precise implementation.
