Job Description
Job Purpose:
- A mechanic is responsible for inspecting and repairing vehicles, machinery, and light trucks. Also known as
service technicians, these professionals oversee maintenance inspections, monitor inventory, assemble
mechanical components, and perform repairs. They usually work in garages that are indoors.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains, diagnoses and repairs all equipment in the vehicle such as; engines, transmission, air compressors,
- hydraulics, etc
- Perform preventive maintenance on order of the supervisor.
- Installs and/or replaces new or reconditioned parts.
- After installation, must ensure 100% serviceability of the replaced or service part.
- Basic troubleshooting should be done for the entire vehicle.
- Must be able to explain technical issues to non technical people.
- Ability to use power tools to troubleshoot and repair complex problems.
- Ability to identify Malfunctions and carry out corrections.
- Ensure mechanical operations and controls are maintained at the highest quality.
- Ensure safety practise and follow SOP while on work.
- Willing to work in field and workshop
- Avoid repeat jobs
- Suggest parts quality periodically
- Support process and service improvement
Skills
Qualifications
Diploma in Mechanical Automotive.
Experience
3.-5 years of experience working in the same field
