As a manager, do you think culture diversity within your company creates more problems, or is it a good thing?

Cultural diversity is not a problem. In fact it is strength and to be managed correctly and supported by all to create more synergy. The following are the advantages:

1.   The People will see and learn work ethics from each other. So, productivity will go up

2.   Since all come from different region, each carry a unique set of knowledge, which will be shared to all to enhance individuals skills,

3.   The most interesting thing is that team building is easy as all would like to have some sort of togetherness in different country setting

4.   It creates an environment of outward looking and the local people will also work hard to go out of the country.

Diversity can create a serious challenge for managers, especially when it comes to appreciation of team thoughts, beliefs and way of thinking however, and because of all what it can bring to business environments it does create alot of success opportunities especially in regards to innovation, marketing and bringing business into international level.

I don't think it is a problem and rather will be helpful in International markets. Thanks.

In the professional point of view, it is very good thing and great strength for brainstorming technique, it could improve business to more better heights as per my experience. I think it is required for developing countries to reach developed stage.  

If your diverse pool of people have the right attitude (professional, cohesive, team players) diversity is a great element of successful business!

Actually, with right process and procedure it can be very good, plus better reputation of attracting diverse skilled staff

Its a good thing, Diversified workforce brings number of different ideas together on a single table. You as a manager must be capable to pick the best idea and get all the diversified workforce on board.

I believe culturally diversity in the organisation helps organisation functioning more professionally, more wider reach and more efficient.

We learn more from the people who belong to different back ground. This way we learn to listen more and know more. we become more compassionate to other people. This helps us t understand the requirement of various groups.

We learn to agree on disagreements and how to put across our point of view in larger perspective. Diversity is strength not a problem if handled in a justified manner.

An organisation has different stake holders and different requirement for different stake holders associated with the organisation. This diversity help us to build understanding and taking people together to achieve new heights.
