A boss employs and superintends workers, watching and supervising to ensure the job gets done.
A leader is a motivator. They brings with it a quality of inspiration, offering guidance. A leadertakes time to build teams of people who respect him.
Not all bosses (managers) are leaders. Likewise, not all leaders are managers.
A manager may have taken the position because he is the owner of the company, or he may be appointed to the job. He is more concerned about the operational activities of the company. He controls his subordinates. The keywords that describes a manager: power and control.

Boss gives orders which must be implemented either you agree with him/her or not and you have to know all the time that he/she is your boss !!!, while team leader gives advices and you can discuss anything with him/her (why, how, ...etc), you'll never feel that there is a gap between you and him/her, and you'll know the real meaning of team spirit and get motivated all the time.
