First, you should define the right extraordinary talent, if he is fresh graduate, how he will be extraordinary? his strength is only in his enthusiasm and high flexibility, yet still lacking knowledge and skills.
In case he has professional certificates in addition to his academic certificates, this will be extra point for him.
Secondly, The ordinary experienced candidate, still not clear, does he has the required knowledge and skills but lacking the attitude or it is average? If I compare both the first and the second cases, both of them are not fitting my requirement, yet If I have a junior job and will have to select a candidate from both, I will select the second if he is on average attitude and the the other one don't have extra certificates.
while will select the first in case he has certificates and the second lack the attitude.
