Responsible for:
Managing all aspects of general and financial accounting operations for Dubai Golf entities (including managed properties). This would include consolidation, financial statement preparation, financial review and analysis, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, treasury activities, reporting, preparation of MIS & Tax compliances.
Ensuring that all Finance requirements are fully met and in time.
Purpose and Scope of Position:
Setting up and maintaining an efficient accounting system of high professional standard with appropriate internal control to provide:
· Up-to-date information and advice to management with regard to financial operation and controls of the Club.
· Cater to the accounting requirements of the Regulatory authorities, Management and External Auditors.
1. Main Duties:
Specific responsibilities include:
Finance
· Liaison with the Finance managers at DG to ensure timely closing of books of account.
· Managing day to day operations of finance-Accounts payable & Receivables
· Ensuring monthly review of schedules & preparing variance analysis.
· Attending Business review meetings with owners
· Manage cash flow planning, preparation of cash flow and ensure availability of funds as needed
· Coordinating with Banks for daily operational requirement and managing relationships
· Preparation of financials as per timelines.
· Preparation of VAT returns as per tax laws.
· Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analysis to provide insight into the organization’s operations.
· Coordinate financial reporting requirements of DG(including managed properties) and wasl.
· Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting.
Budgeting & Planning, Policy, and Investor Relations
· Coordinate and assist in preparation, development and monitoring of budgets.
· Responsible for driving the budgeting process through financial manager and consolidating the budget.
· Analyzing key performance indicators, monthly operating results and report significant trends to operational management.
· Conducting P&L review meetings with club managers, department heads along with finance managers.
· Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the management team.
· Remain up to date on audit best practices and IAS laws.
Accounting and Administration
· To ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems.
· Contribute to maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
· Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
· Coordinate audits, both internal and external.
· Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
· Finance organization chart to be constantly reviewed and updated.

1. Read, Understand and comply with all applicable Information Security Policies and Procedures of wasl.
2. Co-operate, co-ordinate and share information with Internal/External Audit teams as appropriate and applicable.
3. Attend Information Security Awareness sessions conducted by the wasl IT Department.
4. All Information Security breaches, events, weaknesses, incidents (actual or suspected breaches) shall be immediately reported to the IT Service Desk
