Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

Provide all required support, maintenance, and configuration for Hardware, network, systems, software, servers, infrastructure including equipment and mobile devices.

Your tasks will include:

1. Assist in maintaining systems’ security, integrity, and accuracy of the data on our IT systems.
2. Maintain and update accurate records and documentation, including Hardware assets and software licenses.
3. Ensure that Software Licenses are renewed and up to date.
4. Perform project-related tasks within an agreed timescale.
5. Promote and communicate the company's computer usage policy, reporting breaches to IT Manager.
6. Maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Network:

1. Ensure 100% Network availability for smooth operations. This includes all CISCO networking equipment: Core switch, Edge Switch, Routers, Firewall, IronPort Spam Controller, Wireless access points.
2. Design of LAN, WAN which includes the creation and distribution of VLAN.
3. Responsible for internal and external network security.
4. Maintenance of certain network servers: file server, Domain servers, Exchange server, ISA server, Wireless Controller Server, Cisco Works, etc.
5. Analysis and concentrate on the network design, troubleshooting and/or debugging network-related problems.
6. Active directory handling, managing group policies etc.
7. Handling all INTER-IKEA network related issues (Ikea inside, Ikea Toolbox, Piafacs, Casy etc.)
8. Ensure all backups are done within the agreed time frames in order to avoid any data loss.

Hardware:

1. Ensure 100% availability of hardware services.
2. New hardware installation and maintenance.
3. Document the hardware maintenance and create/maintain related procedures.
4. To provide "help desk" service to co-workers. This includes Installation & troubleshooting of all business equipment.
5. Install new products after ensuring the safety and security procedures.
6. To maintain inventories for Laptops, computers, floppies, CDs, printers, scanners and consumables.
7. Under supervision, provide servers back up and restore database servers.
8. Research and study new hardware to benefit business.
9. Support and maintain the IPTV system and the IP telephone system.
