ABOUT THE JOB
Provide all required support, maintenance, and configuration for Hardware, network, systems, software, servers, infrastructure including equipment and mobile devices.
Your tasks will include:
- Assist in maintaining systems’ security, integrity, and accuracy of the data on our IT systems.
- Maintain and update accurate records and documentation, including Hardware assets and software licenses.
- Ensure that Software Licenses are renewed and up to date.
- Perform project-related tasks within an agreed timescale.
- Promote and communicate the company's computer usage policy, reporting breaches to IT Manager.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Network:
- Ensure 100% Network availability for smooth operations. This includes all CISCO networking equipment: Core switch, Edge Switch, Routers, Firewall, IronPort Spam Controller, Wireless access points.
- Design of LAN, WAN which includes the creation and distribution of VLAN.
- Responsible for internal and external network security.
- Maintenance of certain network servers: file server, Domain servers, Exchange server, ISA server, Wireless Controller Server, Cisco Works, etc.
- Analysis and concentrate on the network design, troubleshooting and/or debugging network-related problems.
- Active directory handling, managing group policies etc.
- Handling all INTER-IKEA network related issues (Ikea inside, Ikea Toolbox, Piafacs, Casy etc.)
- Ensure all backups are done within the agreed time frames in order to avoid any data loss.
Hardware:
- Ensure 100% availability of hardware services.
- New hardware installation and maintenance.
- Document the hardware maintenance and create/maintain related procedures.
- To provide "help desk" service to co-workers. This includes Installation & troubleshooting of all business equipment.
- Install new products after ensuring the safety and security procedures.
- To maintain inventories for Laptops, computers, floppies, CDs, printers, scanners and consumables.
- Under supervision, provide servers back up and restore database servers.
- Research and study new hardware to benefit business.
- Support and maintain the IPTV system and the IP telephone system.
Skills
Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
- Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent, and/or relevant IT qualifications.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in IT, including Networking and Server administration of IP Networking, Firewalls, Routers, Wi-Fi, VPN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, administration and deployment of Windows Server, Active Directory and knowledge of Exchange Servers.
- CCNA/MCSC or above, and/or any equivalent Network related certification·
- Excellent communication and presentation skills at/to all levels.
- Excellent planning and problem-solving skills with a logical, methodical approach. This includes proper and easy to understand and retrieve documentation.
- Able to work both as a part of a team or on own initiative.
- Fluent in business and conversational English (Arabic is a plus).
