Job Requirements

• Ensure effective implementation of the company's safety management system.
• Developing and implementing a safety culture within the company.
• Coordinating with flag state and classification society on matters related to vessel, crew, and company certificates in cooperation with crewing,
• Responsible for Vessel Inspections, Maintenance Planning, Budgeting, Cost Control, Incident Investigation
• Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports on vessel performance,

Candidate Requirements

• Similar experience in being Chief Mate or master plus
• A BSc in engineering or a related field is often required. 
• Fluency in English writing and speaking is required.
• Knowledge and understanding of the ISM Code including Mandatory rules and regulations as well as the Applicable codes, guidelines, and standards as appropriate.
• Assessment techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating, and Reporting.
• Technical or operational aspects of safety management.
• Appropriate knowledge of shipping and shipboard operations; Participation in at least one marine-related management system audit.
• Effective communication with shipboard staff and senior management.
• Strong ability to draft reports, manuals, and memos.
• Adequate shipboard sailing experience as Chief Engineer Officer or Master.
• Advanced Project Management Skills, People Management, and effective communication skills
