Quantity Surveyor

Position: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Trichy

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing costs and budgets of projects, ensuring that the construction project is completed within its projected budget.

• Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labor involved.
  
• Work on value engineering and life cycle costing to reduce costs and improve value for money.
  
• Manage and administer the contracts and agreements with the parties involved in the construction project.
  
• Identify potential financial or construction risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  
• Prepare and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
  
• Manage and evaluate claims related to extensions of time, loss and expense, and ensure they are in accordance with the contract.
  
• Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure.
  
• Coordinate and liaise with construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers, and site engineers.
  
• Regularly update on the financial status of projects, prepare and present detailed reports on project progress and budgets.
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, Management, or a related field.
  
• Professional accreditation from a recognized institution (e.g., RICS or equivalent).
  

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  
• Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  
• Proficiency in cost management software.
  
• Thorough understanding of construction laws and guidelines.
  
• High level of numeracy and proficient in MS Office.
  
• Strong communication and project management skills.
