Performing visual and dimensional inspections of OCTG pipes at various stages of manufacturing, storage, and transportation.
Utilizing non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as magnetic particle testing (MT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), ultrasonic testing (UT), and electromagnetic testing (ET) to detect defects and discontinuities in pipes.
Interpreting inspection results and documenting findings accurately in inspection reports.
Collaborating with production teams to address any quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Maintaining inspection equipment and ensuring it is calibrated and functioning properly.
Adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in welding, metallurgy, or non-destructive testing is preferred.
Previous experience in OCTG pipe inspection or a related field is highly desirable.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards (e.g., API, ASTM).
Certification in non-destructive testing techniques (e.g., ASNT Level II certification) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection findings.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy pipes and inspection equipment.
Willingness to adhere to strict safety regulations and protocols.
