A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness in public areas. Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish all public spaces, paying special attention to high-traffic areas and ensuring cleanliness at all times. Ensure that all furniture and decorations are clean, properly arranged, and dust-free. Empty and clean waste and recycling containers to maintain a hygienic environment. Clean and disinfect restroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors, ensuring they are fully stocked with supplies. Maintain cleanliness and order in elevators, stairwells, and corridors by wiping surfaces, dusting, and removing trash. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor promptly. Respond to guest requests in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment or furniture for meetings and events when required. Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and guests.
Previous experience in hospitality or housekeeping roles is preferred, but not mandatory. Demonstrable skills in cleaning and maintaining public areas, exhibiting a strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team player mentality. Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per the hotel's operations.
