We are seeking a Laundry Assistant like no other. This is not your average laundry gig. As a Laundry Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional laundry services in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our laundry assistant should possess a keen eye for detail and be willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. You will work alongside a team of imaginative individuals, breaking free from the traditional perception of laundry service.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be: 

• Prepare laundry loads for processing, ensuring proper sorting, tagging, and record-keeping of items.
• Operate commercial laundry equipment, such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines, following safety and operational guidelines.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings to achieve optimal cleaning results and efficient use of resources.
• Inspect finished laundry items for quality control, identifying and addressing any stains, tears, or damages.
• Perform necessary garment repairs, alterations, and stitch fixes using appropriate sewing techniques and tools.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility, including regular cleaning of machines, countertops, and floors.
• Stock and inventory laundry supplies, notifying the supervisor when replenishment is needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely completion of laundry orders, adhering to established schedules and deadlines.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries, special requests, or concerns regarding laundry services.
• Follow all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

What do we need from you?

• Previous experience in laundry operations or a related field is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and treat different fabric types appropriately.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also thriving in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of laundry machinery operation and maintenance is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and weekends, as per business needs.
