Job Description

We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Contract Specialist with expertise in commercial medical contracts to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in negotiating, drafting, and managing contracts within the medical industry, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing business outcomes.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead negotiations for complex commercial contracts related to medical products, services, and partnerships, balancing the interests of all parties involved.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, procurement, sales, and finance, to develop comprehensive contract strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of contract terms and conditions to identify potential risks, propose appropriate modifications, and ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on contract-related matters, offering proactive solutions to mitigate risks and enhance contract performance.
  • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initial drafting through execution and renewal, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring adherence to timelines.
  • Monitor contract performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed to optimize contract outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, legislative changes, and emerging best practices in commercial medical contracting, integrating relevant insights into contract management processes.
  • Mentor and support junior contract specialists, fostering their professional development and ensuring continuity of knowledge within the team.



Skills

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in contract management or a related field, with a focus on commercial contracts within the medical industry.
  • In-depth understanding of contract law, regulatory frameworks, and compliance standards applicable to the medical sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing high-value commercial contracts, demonstrating strategic thinking and sound judgment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical acumen, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to identify creative solutions to complex contractual issues.
  • Proficiency in contract management software platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple priorities effectively and delivering results under tight deadlines.
