PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Configuration Management/Data Management (CM/DM) specialists are responsible for developing software. This position have a variety of responsibilities, including: recommending solutions to meet customers' needs; planning and coordinating configuration activities; maintaining deadlines; developing improvements to increase efficiency; determining requirements of various systems; training staff and management regarding configuration policies; developing tools to support management and configuration; following company policies at all times; resolving issues in a timely manner; assisting with configuration audits; creating and maintaining documentation regarding configuration management; identifying errors; troubleshooting networks and security issues; and training all necessary personnel. Candidates for this position should be highly analytical, expert problem-solvers, and proficient communicators, as CM/DM specialists must often explain highly technical aspects to individuals who may not understand technical terms.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be fully familiar with the C4I System concept and its equipment, facilities and installations in use at the different mobile and fix sites at the Arm forces or any military environment.
• Be capable to write and Implement Configuration Management/Data Management Plan based on MIL STD-973 and ANSI/EIA-649.
• Be proficient in implementing a Configuration Management System (CMS) based on MIL-STD-973 and ANSI/EIA-649.
• Define, implement, and review all the related CM/DM processes and procedures as per CM Standard (MIL-STD-973 and ANSI/EIA-649) which are used to manage the different configuration of the MOD C4I System.
• Be capable of instructing military personnel and producing training material and provide On- the-Job training in Configuration systems and tool to support the system.
• Experience and understand the interrelations between specifications, drawings, technical orders, logistics data, and operations manuals
• Experience with Cmstat-PDMPlus, IBM-ClearCase and IBM-DOORS tools.
• Practical experience in performing configuration Audit both Physical Configuration/ Functional
Configuration Audit
• Create specification change packages for distribution.
• Be capable of writing Engineering Change Proposals based on MIL-STD-973 and ANSI/EIA-649.
• Generate and Provide Change Status Accounting
• Identify and input Configuration Data into Cmstat-PDMPlus tool
• Prepare and manage Hardware Change Requests/Software Change Requests/ Documentation Change
Request
• Attend Change Review Board Meetings
• Be fully capable of performing impact Assessment for all engineering Changes and shall identifying related system Artifacts affected by a proposed change.
• Prepare Agendas for the Change Review Board
• Prepare Engineering Change Packages for Change Review Board
• Prepare minutes of the Change Review Board
• Be capable of Incorporating Specification Changes (Software Requirement Specifications and
Hardware Specifications).
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
• The candidate will have a minimum of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science, Systems/Industrial Engineering or Electrical, Electronics, Communications.
• Knowledge of Configuration Management relational database application.
• C41 Configuration and data management specialist will have a minimum often (10) years' experience in managing the different configuration of similar C41 Systems (Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence) at military environment.
• Must be able to demonstrate past examples of cultural adaptability and ability to establish a trusted
professional relationship with an international customer.
