Job Description
The Government Relations Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with government agencies and officials in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They will play a key role in ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, as well as facilitating smooth communication and cooperation between the company and government entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the local regulatory framework and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies, officials, and stakeholders.
- Act as the main point of contact for government agencies, handling inquiries, requests, and meetings.
- Monitor and stay up-to-date with changes in local laws, regulations, and policies that may impact the company's operations.
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations and requirements.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation to government agencies, such as license renewals, permits, and visa applications.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather and provide necessary information for government-related matters.
- Participate in meetings and negotiations with government officials to represent the company's interests.
- Advise management on potential risks and opportunities related to government relations.
- Develop strategies to improve and maintain positive relationships with government entities.
- Handle any issues or disputes that arise with government agencies, seeking resolutions in a timely and efficient manner.
Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in government relations or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of local laws, regulations, and government procedures in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
