POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Instructor develops curriculum and provides Classroom Training, Structured On-the-Job Training, Computer-Based Instructions and Workstation Embedded Training, Internet and Internet-based lectures and tutorials for the system operators to support the C41 System over its life cycle.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops and prepares all course teaching materials and visual aids.
• Conducts and controls overview training programs for operations personnel and others requiring a basic presentation on the plants operational control features.
• Designs appropriate courses for the trainees and schedule their release to the operational plant to enable them to quickly develop and utilize their new skills on the job.
• Prepares training material and classroom agenda.
• Utilizes multiple media in curriculum development and delivery including video, web based programs including Adobe and PowerPoint.
• Maintains involvement in the reliability program processes, both as a measurement of training effectiveness and to adapt training subject matter to address the reliability issues.
• Maintains electronic and hard copy of all individual training records and provide accurate reports as and when required.
• Provides engaging academic and practical training modules.
• Develops effective and challenging testing procedures to gauge knowledge, comprehension and retention.
• Mentors other instructors in the subject matter, content, and course delivery techniques for assigned technical courses.
• Manages the training program in accordance with the business needs, regulatory requirements, and
Quality Management System.
• Provides the client with detailed student progress reports containing the assessment, level of competence, attendance and behaviors of the trainees.
SKILLS:
• Training preparation, delivery, and summary instructional skills.
• Excellent command of oral and written communication.
• High degree of computer literacy and ability to learn specialist software applications.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering/Electronics
• 10 years' experience training Operations personnel supporting the C41 System.
• Proven track record of delivering classroom and on the job instruction to international standards.
