To manage and supervise the marine logistics and daily vessel operations based on the required regulatory requirement
and client’s standards in order to ensure that company vessels and chartered vessels are operated in safe, efficient and
economical manner.
Operational Assistance to Vessels
Manage and supervise the marine logistics by coordinating with the masters and other departments regarding
customer requirements, crewing matters, QHSE compliance, vessels’ certification, vessel condition and hand
over reports, inspection reports, performance appraisal, technical defect reports, corrective action and
compliance with the ISM and ISPS codes in order to ensure vessel operations according to best practices.
Vessel Inspections
Ensure that the vessels are inspected based on safety rules and required frequency (quarterly or annually) and
address all deficiencies raised during the inspection by root cause analysis in order to find suitable solution and
preventive actions.
Vessel Certification
Ensure that the certificates are current and onboard such as KSA work permit, safety equipment through
monitoring classification and statutory requirement and ensuring surveys and audits are timely and successfully
completed.
Records Management
Maintain all pertinent documents such as vessel’s certification copies, records for inspections, re-classification,
service and safety related equipment, record for ship-based personnel, chart corrections, nautical publications,
etc through effective records management program in order to easily retrieve documents.
Crew Management
Ensure that vessels are adequately manned and certified qualified by coordinating with the Masters and other
Department concerning crewing matters to have smooth operations.
Manage the effective achievement of assigned objectives through the leadership of the assigned section by
setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff to maximise sectional
performance.
Budgeting and Financial Planning
Prepare and recommend budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget while ensuring all
operational activities are conducted in line with the approved guidelines.
Verify and approve fleet requisition for provisions, consumable deck store, paints, cleaning materials,
medicines, safety items and bridge stores.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Manage and ensure effective implementation of policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned
sectional activity so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality,
cost-effective service.
Continuous Improvement
Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes
and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Reporting
Ensure that all sectional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet Zamil Offshore requirements,
policies and quality standards.

The job holder is responsible to manage the port operations, ship movements and navigation services to ensure
safety, security, efficiency and business continuity is maintained at all times.
Work with port authorities and personnel of the shipping vessels.
To stand in as an emergency Master on any vessel if and whenever required.
