Software Process Engineer

Overview:

As an Entry-Level Software Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing and optimizing software development life cycle (SDLC) processes within our client's organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess current practices, design efficient workflows, and drive process improvements to enhance productivity and quality across IT departments and software projects.

Responsibilities:

ALM/SDLC Process Assessment:

• Assist in conducting assessments of current software development processes.
• Gather and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand process pain points and challenges.

Process Design and Documentation:

• Contribute to the design of high-level and detailed SDLC processes.
• Document workflows, procedures, and guidelines for software development activities.
• Ensure alignment of processes with industry best practices (ISO, ITIL, CMMI) and organizational goals.

Automation and Tooling:

• Support the selection and implementation of automation tools and platforms to streamline SDLC processes.
• Configure and customize tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or other relevant software for efficient workflow management.
• Assist in testing and validating automated processes to ensure reliability and effectiveness.

Training and Education:

• Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure understanding and adherence to established processes.
• Collaborate with training coordinators to assess training needs and optimize training programs.

Pilot Projects and Optimization:

• Participate in piloting new processes on select projects to evaluate effectiveness and gather feedback.
• Analyze performance data and metrics to identify areas for process optimization.
• Work with teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives and drive process maturity.
