Well, to be honest, I don't think machine can beats humans (not yet). But we can make it more accurate by contributing and voting. The more the community vote for best translation the more we get an accurate ones. The more the machine exposed to accurate translation the more it gets smarter.
Maybe, but that means that google needs to have a list of contexts with a complex program that allows it to "guess". Nowadays, electronics are becoming independent. That, gives a twilight of independent intelligence that might, MIGHT, be able to translate as good as humans.
