InterContinental Dubai Marina as
Carpenter. InterContinental Dubai Marina is a Five Star luxury hotel in the heart of Dubai Marina with 328 rooms and residence suites, flexible event space and restaurants & bars. With over 30 languages and countries represented by the staff, the hotel weaves together an international five-star presence.
Your role will be included but not limited to:
Execute installation, repair, and maintenance of wooden structures, furniture, fixtures, and fittings throughout the hotel premises, including guest rooms, public areas, and facilities. Craft and install bespoke wooden elements according to design specifications, ensuring precision, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Apply finishes, such as varnish, paint, or stain, to wooden surfaces to enhance their appearance and protect them from damage. Conduct routine inspections of wooden structures and furnishings to identify and address any issues promptly, ensuring the safety and comfort of guests and staff. Coordinate with other departments to support renovation projects, room upgrades, and maintenance initiatives. Manage inventory of woodworking materials, tools, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage to support ongoing operations. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating tools and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and implementing best practices to minimize hazards. Uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality in all woodworking tasks, striving to exceed guest expectations and maintain the hotel's reputation for excellence. Returns notification of job completed to his seniors, time taken, materials used to complete the assigned job To ensure all guest rooms PPM is conducted on quarterly basis
Ideally, you'll have some or all the following qualifications and experience we're looking for:
Preferably candidates with pre-opening hotel experience. Minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in similar role Knowledge of fixing decorative ceramic tiles, wall plastering, concrete mixing and shuttering, fixing of road paving tiles, silicon and grouting work Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations Must have the ability to multi Task Good communication skills
