Job Description
As a Joinery Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for joinery projects. Working closely with our design and production teams, you will play a key role in bringing concepts to life and ensuring the seamless execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities -
Design Development: Collaborate with the design team to develop detailed joinery designs based on project specifications and client requirements.
Technical Drawings: Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings, plans, and elevations for joinery components using CAD software.
Material Selection: Work closely with the project team to select appropriate materials and finishes, considering both aesthetic and functional requirements.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all drawings meet the company's quality standards and adhere to industry regulations.
Communication: Effectively communicate design intent and technical details to internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and other professionals to integrate joinery designs seamlessly into overall project plans.
Problem-Solving: Address design challenges and provide innovative solutions to ensure successful project execution.
RequirementsExperience: Proven experience as a Joinery Draftsman or in a similar role within the joinery or woodworking industry.
Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.) and a strong understanding of joinery construction methods and materials. 3D Max and VRay etc are an advantage.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on producing accurate and precise technical drawings.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information clearly.
Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across disciplines to achieve project goals.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous joinery or woodworking projects and technical drawings is highly desirable.
