Foreman

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will coordinate the efforts of various workers, ensuring that their work complies with building codes, laws, and regulations, and is completed on time and within budget. This role demands leadership, in-depth knowledge of the construction industry, and the ability to solve problems swiftly and efficiently.

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors to ensure project efficiency and compliance with building specifications.
  
• Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches, adjusting work schedules as needed based on site conditions and materials supply.
  
• Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  
• Train and mentor construction workers and staff, providing them with feedback and resolving any issues or conflicts that arise.
  
• Coordinate and manage the procurement of materials and ensure machinery and equipment are available when needed.
  
• Maintain daily logs, reports, and records of work performed, incidents, and the overall progress of the project.
  
• Implement and enforce strict safety guidelines and building codes, ensuring a safe workplace environment at all times.
  
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to discuss and solve issues related to plans and specifications.
  
• Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure the project is completed within the allocated financial resources.
  

• Proven experience as a Foreman or in a similar supervisory role in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years of experience preferred.
  
• A diploma or degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
  
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
  

• Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  
• Proficiency in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  
• Ability to read, understand, and execute plans from blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
  
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with the capacity to multitask and manage time efficiently.
  
• Profound knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements.
  

• Willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends, when necessary to meet project deadlines.
  
• Physical ability to stand frequently, walk, and handle construction materials.
  
• Valid UAE driving license is a plus.
