About the Opportunity:
As a HSEW Engineer, your primary purpose is to champion Health, Safety, Environment, and Wellbeing (HSEW) excellence at the site level. You'll be the go-to person for HSEW advice and support, quickly gaining the trust of site teams. Your role involves monitoring and ensuring the effective implementation of our project Risk Control Strategy, and providing essential expertise in interpreting health, safety, and environmental regulations. Embrace BeyondZero culture on the project. Your contribution will help Jacobs and our contractors enhance safety and environmental practices on site. This is a supervision consultant role to oversee multiple non-controlled contractors in an infrastructure project in Sharjah.

•  Conduct daily site visits and focused inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
•  Advocate and promote the Jacobs Safety Observation Report (SOR) System.
•  Collaborate with the Jacobs Construction Engineers HSE team.
•  Mentor and coach contractor site supervision and work closely with Jacobs Construction Engineers, guiding them on processes and procedures.
•  Be an active participant in client/ contractors HSE Weekly Meetings.
•  Attend and support site-level Pre-task briefings, Toolbox Talks, and Safety Stand downs.
•  Intervene and report unsafe acts or conditions. And provide recommendations for Safety Violations Reports (SVR) and Stop Work Notices (SWN) to Resident Engineer.

Here’s What You’ll Need
As a successful candidate for HSEW Engineer you will possess following attributes
•  7 to 10 years in infrastructure projects, particularly large-scale civil work packages experiences. 
•  Bachelor's degree in an HSE-related field or Engineering.
•  Nebosh IGC in case of non HSE Degree/ diploma.
•  Deep understanding of Sharjah SPSA Regulations.
•  You should be an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
•  You should have extensive experience in incident investigations. 
•  Your communication skills are top-notch., and you excel in IT skills.
