Job Description
• Monitors contractor performance pertaining to schedule and conformance to plans and specifications.
• Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors.
• Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
• May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
• Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality
Control Plan, and other documents as required.
• Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors the draft and final
deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
• Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative
functions of the assigned project.
• Provide advice on field engineering procedures, construction methods, and financial matters to
management.
• Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for assigned personnel.
• Plans, organizes, and ensures adequate staffing, execution, and monitoring of all field engineering
activities and related support operations through liaison with support departments, other offices, or
subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
• Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and
plans for the various elements of a project.
• Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
Requirements• Proven leadership capability.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or construction related technical/business field
• 10+ years of related construction phase experience is required, with 5+ years of related project
management experience on related projects
• Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background.
• Professional registration may also be required.
• Must have the ability to manage projects, interface with clients and enjoy being hands on technically in
the project.
• Should be involved when required in the designs on the project.
• Capability in scheduling using Primavera P6 and ongoing monitoring and driving of projects with wellordered and logical sequence;
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards. Proven ability to perform in a management capacity,
excellent written and oral communications.
