Job Description

Team: Manages a team of 7

 

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer

 

Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day operations of investment products across asset classes. Ensure efficient and effective functioning of all operational processes related to investment management, trade settlement, distributions, compliance, client and regulatory reporting. Ensure appropriate risk controls are in place and adhere to internal policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Develop the objectives and KPIs for Operations department and cascade the same to subordinates.

2. Manage a team of operations professionals, providing leadership, guidance and support to ensure high performance and productivity.

3. Validate and authorize all transactions with third party (broker/clearing house/selling agent) and on the company's system: cash and security withdrawal, cash and security deposit, buy/sell transaction, corporate action, settlement, distribution, fee booking, etc. Ensure timely and accurate execution.

4. Oversee the preparation and submission of Investment Funds’ financial statements.

5. Monitor and manage operational risks, implementing controls and procedures to mitigate potential issues.

6. Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual work.

7. Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory and client reporting adhering to requirements and timelines.

8. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

9. Collaborate with Finance, Asset Management and Compliance to ensure seamless operations.

10. Act as key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding operational matters.  

11. Prepare and submit reports on regular basis to Direct Manager covering the department main activities and outcomes.

12. Perform ad-hoc and other responsibilities related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager.
