Description

Production Management:
Planning and Execution: Responsible for meticulous production planning, scheduling, and ensuring the plant meets those targets efficiently. This involves allocation of resources, manpower, and materials for smooth operation.Quality Control: Maintaining high product quality is paramount. The Plant Head implements and enforces quality control measures throughout the production process, ensuring the refractory products meet specifications.Efficiency and Cost Control: Optimising production processes to achieve maximum output while minimising costs is a key responsibility. The Plant Head might look for ways to reduce waste, improve energy efficiency, and implement best practices.


Plant Operations and Maintenance:
Equipment Up time: Overseeing the smooth operation and maintenance of all plant machinery and equipment. Ensuring preventive maintenance is conducted, and addressing equipment failures promptly to minimise downtime.Inventory Management: Maintaining optimal inventory levels of raw materials and finished products is essential. The Plant Head strikes a balance to avoid stock outs or excessive holding costs.


Business Acumen and Communication:
Profitability and Meeting Targets: Accountable for the plant's profitability. They contribute to setting production targets, monitor costs, and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.Communication and Reporting: Regularly communicating production progress, challenges, and achievements to upper management is essential. The Plant Head may also liaise with other departments like sales to ensure production aligns with customer needs.

Product Development: Providing input on new refractory product development or improvements to existing product lines based on their understanding of production capabilities.Regulatory Compliance: Staying updated on industry regulations and ensuring the plant adheres to environmental and safety standards.

Seasoned Refractory Expertise: 20+ years of experience in refractory technology, with a deep understanding of production processes, material properties, and applications.Proven Production Leadership: A track record of successfully leading and managing a manufacturing plant, achieving production targets efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.Cost-Conscious Optimiser: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement cost-saving measures in production processes, minimising waste and maximising efficiency.Safety Champion: A strong commitment to safety, with experience in developing and enforcing safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all employees.Team Motivator: Excellent leadership skills that foster a positive and productive work environment, motivating and inspiring a team to achieve goals.Open to Diverse Backgrounds: Consider experienced R&D Heads and retired candidates with proven leadership and refractory knowledge who can transition smoothly.Results-Oriented: A focus on achieving profitability by setting clear goals, monitoring costs, and implementing strategies to deliver strong financial performance.
