Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
You will be responsible for planning and organizing meetings, incentives, conferences and events held in Oman. This will involve delivery of the assigned events on schedule, within budget and meeting the expectations of the clients and to provide a positive experience for the clients.
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Support and execute the delivery of the event
- Build and maintain event plans
- Maintain target profitability in events he\she is assigned to
- Creating a proposal which is reflects intensive planning, creativity as well as the costing of each and every service offered
- Ability to organize and control documents
- Collect event progress information
- Ensure smooth operation for the event he\she is assigned to
- Present with the event team at all times to be involved in all aspects of ground handling
- Responsible for all cost monitoring from the time the proposal is sent, the price quoted to the final invoice
COMPLEXITY
- Ambiguity sometimes is inherent in an event, event team members must be able to live with it but at the same time search for perfection.
- Executives must be able to handle the complexity of the event, and some events are very complex, while at the same time be always searching for simplicity and making things clear.
- Executives must be able to have the helicopter view and understand the big picture and how his/her project fits into the overall scheme of things. In addition, he/she must be able to get into the details, see the small picture, when required, and then be able to step back up to see big picture view.
Skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Good command of English or German written and spoken is a must other languages would be an advantage
- Proven experience of effectively communicating with all levels
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Advanced PC knowledge especially in Microsoft applications
- Knowledgeable with a strong commercial awareness
- Creative and effective negotiation skills
- Outgoing, well organized and able to work under pressure and at unsocial hours.
