Job Description

Position Summary

The position is responsible for developing and upgrading the in-house grant management application and supporting other research administration applications.


Job Responsibilities

• Conducts user requirement gathering for research administration applications and supports in developing and documenting project scope.

• Conducts the maintenance and smooth operations of research administration applications and ensures protection and integrity of all operational data.

• Implements changes and release management policies for the maintenance of the research administration applications.

• Develops and codes the research administration applications and maintains the application architecture documentation ensuring adherence to industry standards.

• Conducts UAT for new applications and improvements ensuring that anticipated business efficiencies are realized.

• Provides timely support to research administration staff in resolving bugs or performance issues in the in-house grant management applications and provides user access.

• Develops and produces operational reports using data from all operational platforms available.

• Coordinates with the ITS team for research applications and acts as a first point of contact.

• Performs other duties as assigned.


Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science preferred. 5 - 6 years of related experience.

• Knowledge of Power BI, SQL and other data extraction tools and techniques.

• Knowledge of programming languages.
