Job Description

A. Basic Scope of Work:

  • Database Administrator for onsite project requirements.


B. Accountabilities:

  • Database Management Systems: Strong knowledge and experience in administering and managing Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Microsoft SQL Server: Proficiency in installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security management, and high availability features of SQL Server.
  • SQL and Query Optimization: Proficiency in SQL is crucial for database administration. strong understanding of writing complex SQL queries, optimizing query performance, and ensuring efficient data retrieval.
  • Database Security: Knowledge of database security principles and best practices, including user access management, authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
  • Backup and Recovery: Experience in implementing and maintaining database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in case of system failures or disasters.
  • Performance Tuning: Expertise in monitoring and optimizing database performance using tools, techniques, and best practices to ensure optimal system response times and efficient resource utilization.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve database-related issues, such as performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and system errors. 


Skills

C. Qualification:

  • Strong trouble shooting skills on Cluster & DR Environment.
  • Strong experience on high availability on Cluster & DR Environment.
  • Microsoft SQL Server and Database administration experience is a must.
  • Oracle Database Administration, RAC knowledge and experience preferred.
  • MySQL Administration knowledge preferred.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 6/- years of real time Experience in database administration.


D. Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science , Information Technology or nay related stream.
  • Professional certifications specific to Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate: Demonstrates expertise in managing and administering Microsoft Azure SQL Databases.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate: Focuses on designing and implementing data solutions using Microsoft Azure data services, including SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines., MySQL Database Administrator: Validates skills in administering MySQL databases, including installation, optimization, backup, and recovery. 


E. General Skills:

  • Only Riyadh Based resources can apply / Banking Sector.
  • Nationals can apply for the role.
  • Final total package is SAR 22,000/- unnegotiable.
