The Project Control module within BAAN ERP
Many companies are using BAAN ERP IV’s Project Control System (PCS) module for the process of calculating, planning and producing customized products. The functionality of this module can be divided into two sections. In the first section, a structure and calculation is designed for a customized item so a quotation may be sent to the customer. In the second section, if an order is present, a project is created to plan, coordinate, and produce the customized items. The PCS Budgets module is used by companies who want to make one or more (rough or detailed) calculations for calculation partsustomized items. Cost simulations are based on rates, BOM and routingroutign variations. The calculations are called budgets and can be used to generate sales quotations.
The budget making process can be divided into two steps.
The first step is entering common customer data and defining the quantities of the calculation part.
The second step is building different budget structures with material and routing sheets for the defined calculation codes, and generating cost and sales prices with the possibility of using budget specific rates.
