Job Description

One of the leading banks in the UAE is actively recruiting a Head of Islamic Banking and Retail Products to be based in Abu Dhabi.


Please note that due to Emiratisation, only UAE Nationals can be considered for this role.


Key aspects of the role include:

  • Plan, and lead the development and implementation of Islamic banking and retail product strategy.
  • Assist in acquiring new business to grow the assigned portfolio.
  • Identify potential business opportunities.
  • Maintain good working relationships with key clients.
  • Manage budget for the business area and monitor financial performance.
  • Manage a team of professionals by overseeing individual performance, and providing advice and guidance to achieve growth and profitability in business.


Skills

To be successful you will need to meet the following:

  • Please note that due to Emiratisation, only UAE Nationals can be considered for this role.
  • Bachelor’s degree. An MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience within the Banking industry.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a senior manager role in core Islamic banking.
  • Excellent knowledge of Retail and Islamic banking business in the UAE and globally.
  • Vast knowledge of product structures under Shari’ah standards and Shari’ah-compliant contracts used for retail, corporate, and investment banking products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
