Job Description

  • Supervising and coordinating warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
  • Leading and managing a team of warehouse workers, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
  • Ensuring efficient use of warehouse space and resources to optimize storage capacity and minimize costs.
  • Overseeing inventory management processes, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and reconciliation.
  • Implementing and enforcing safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Training and coaching warehouse staff on proper procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Conducting regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with standards.
  • Resolving any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, orders, or shipments in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to coordinate warehouse activities and meet operational goals.
  • Implementing quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory and order fulfillment.
  • Monitoring and analyzing warehouse performance metrics, such as productivity, accuracy, and on-time delivery, and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers as necessary.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Providing regular reports and updates to management on warehouse operations and performance.
  • Contributing to the overall success and growth of the company through effective warehouse management and leadership.


Skills

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least [X years] in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order picking, and shipping.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to warehouse operations.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven, with a focus on achieving operational goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Certification in warehouse management or logistics (e.g., Certified Logistics Professional, Certified Warehouse Manager) is a plus.
