Responsibilities:
1. Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a fleet of vehicles used in oil and gas operations, including trucks, pickups, and specialized vehicles.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in vehicle systems and components.
3. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections to ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
4. Coordinate with equipment operators and field personnel to schedule maintenance appointments and minimize downtime.
5. Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance history, service reports, and inventory of spare parts and consumables.
6. Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations in all vehicle maintenance activities, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
7. Assist in the procurement of new vehicles and equipment, including specification development and vendor evaluation.
8. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in vehicle maintenance and incorporate relevant updates into organizational practices.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive technology is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a vehicle technician, preferably in the oil and gas or heavy equipment industry.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
4. Familiarity with diagnostic tools, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and vehicle repair manuals.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and quality.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
7. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
