Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
To drive and implement sustainable procurement practices, identify, and assess local content and carbon emissions levels, collaborate with suppliers to develop and execute climate-related opportunities, embed local content and carbon reduction in procurement processes, and ensure compliance with sustainability targets and reporting requirements.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify Supply Chain & Contracts Management local content & carbon emissions sustainability levels based on Tahakom's interests and objectives.
- Assess Tahakom’s vendor base and spend against carbon emissions and local content requirements.
- Make local content and climate-related requirements transparent to all teams, conduct change mgmt. build awareness.
- Ensure identification, development and execution of LC and climate-related opportunities by working collaboratively with suppliers.
- Drive LC maturity development, develop LC targets at category / project level.
- Help to drive and continually improve suppliers’ climate-related performance and meet targets across key sustainability themes
- Maintain, update, and manage all the required reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, wearily.
- Focus on Supplier Development Program strategy, liaising with all sectors to raise awareness on corporate sustainability and drive corporate-wide initiatives.
- Identify and highlight possibilities of 'innovation' opportunities in local ecosystem.
- Develop sustainable procurement methodologies to cascade sustainability strategy into category strategies and sourcing events.
- Develop approach to embed LC and carbon emissions reduction in end-to-end procurement processes, procedures and policies.
- Ensure that all local content requirements are fulfilled throughout sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management activities.
- Create local content and carbon emissions monitoring system, to report incl. reporting processes and KPI’s in alignment with relevant process owners.
- Collect and challenge strategic partner’s LC growth plans and carbon targets; establish a program that increases business with local suppliers and to ensure they have carbon targets in place.
- Participate in the design and implementation of Supply Chain Local Content & Sustainability department’s strategy and roadmap to support alignment with Supply Chain business unit strategy.
- Establish Supply Chain Local Content & Sustainability department’s plans and provide input to Technology Operations Center directorate’s goals that support Supply Chain and business unit’s overall strategic plans.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify Supply Chain Local Content & Sustainability department’s required projects to meet future business demands.
- Lead and drive the achievement of Supply Chain Local Content & Sustainability department's strategy, objectives and KPIs within the accountabilities of the department.
- Develop regular reports on department’s progress and outputs to be shared with relevant stakeholders in line with reporting requirements.
- Participate in Local Content & Sustainability department’s budgeting cycle and provide input to the budgeting process.
- Ensure effective utilization of Supply Chain Supplier Relationship division’s budget and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
- Investigate and propose implementing initiatives that result in positive financial impact for Supply Chain Local Content & Sustainability department and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Recommend improvements to Supply Chain Local Content & Sustainability department’s policies and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of activity, ensuring relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results.
- Monitor day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures, including risk management rules and regulations.
- Identify, assess and recruit key talent for Local Content & Sustainability department.
- Guide, mentor and develop the Local Content & Sustainability department’s team as part of their continuous development.
- Promote a high-performance working environment within the Local Content & Sustainability department.
Skills
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge & Experience: 6 years and above of relevant experience with at least 2 years of experience in supervisory position.
Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree.
