Job Description

  1. Provides comprehensive level of assistance to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  2. Provides high level of administrative and clerical support to the department.
  3. Undertakes special projects to meet the objectives of the function.
  4. Prioritizes and manages multiple projects simultaneously, and follow-up on issues in a timely manner.
  5. Follows the university rules and regulations.
  6. Receives, stores and issues goods.
  7. Manages stock level and records stock movement.
  8. Organizes inventory in the stock room.
  9. Enters information on the on-line purchasing system.
  10. Confirms vendor receipt of purchase order.
  11. Checks actual inventory against computerized records.
  12. Monitors movement of supplies.
  13. Communicates delivery issues, shortages and price discrepancies to the Manager.
  14. Advises Manager in devising new ways to reduce and maintain inventory control.
  15. Prepares periodic and special reports.
  16. Undertakes other duties as required by the Manager- Purchasing.
