Cybersecurity DFIR - Senior Specialist

You will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization's digital assets, detecting and responding to cybersecurity incidents, and implementing proactive measures to mitigate future risks.

My client, a public sector organization is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cybersecurity DFIR to join their team.

Description
Conduct digital forensic investigations on various types of digital devices and systems.Analyze and interpret digital evidence to identify the root cause of security incidents.Preserve, collect, and analyze electronic data in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.Lead incident response efforts to promptly detect, contain, and eradicate cybersecurity threats.Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.Assess the organization's security posture and recommend enhancements to strengthen resilience.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to digital forensics and incident response.


Profile
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree preferred.Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on digital forensics and incident response.Professional certifications such as GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred.Proficiency in digital forensic tools and techniques, including evidence collection, preservation, and analysis.Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
